Blu Hopkins - Original Traditional & Contemporary Acoustic Music


	Silvercreek is an acoustic string band featuring the unique talents of four accomplished musicians. The band plays an eclectic blend of traditional, contemporary and original music in a three or four piece configuration and and consists of:


	Blu Hopkins, songwriter, guitar, clawhammer banjo, dulcimer, lead and harmony vocals.


	Kelly Hopkins, songwriter, mandolin, acoustic string bass, lead and harmony vocals. Kelly's songs range from rollicking and fun, to heartfelt poignant ballads. Her mandolin compositions are fresh yet traditional sounding tunes that you can't help tapping your foot to, and her warm harmonies combine nicely with Blu's smokey baritone leads.

Jim Leduc, is a veteran of several award winning bluegrass bands including "String Loaded", "The Rocky Mtn. Bluegrass Boys" and "Canadian Whitewater". Jim has been playing bluegrass music for over twenty five years and his driving bass and high strung tenor round out Silvercreek's sound. He is also a songwriter and plays solid rhythm guitar and mandolin. Jim has recorded two CDs with his former band, "Canadian Whitewater" and "Live at the Creekside" and has studio credits on many other recordings.

Gord Milne, is the most recent addition to the band. Gord is a multi talented multi instrumentalist with many years of experience playing acoustic bluegrass and stringband music. A virtuoso soloist on guitar, mandolin, banjo, and pennywhistle, he's also a great lead and harmony singer and songwriter. Gord has an extensive list of recording and producing credits, has recorded one solo project "Moose on the Loose" and is working on another project with the band "Fiasco".
